Last updated: 1 October 2026
Data Today ("we", "us") operates data-today.net. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Who we are
Data Today is a data and AI newsroom published by Datastudy. Contact for privacy questions: [email protected].
Responsible for this publication: Lars Cornelissen, [email protected], Arnhem, Netherlands. Datastudy is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97423874.
What we collect
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand which stories are read. This collects pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, referrer, and a pseudonymous client identifier. We do not collect names, postal addresses, or precise location.
Advertising data. We display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. See "Advertising" below.
Server logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records standard request logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Embedded resources. Pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, some pages load a diagram library from the jsDelivr CDN, and video pages embed YouTube in its privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) mode. These providers receive your IP address when your browser requests the file.
What we do not collect. We have no user accounts, no newsletter, and no comment system. We do not collect payment data. If you email us, we keep the email for as long as we need it to answer you.
